Individual Psychotherapy Counselling Sessions
I work with clients from all walks of life, including adolescents aged 16 years and over. I hold each client in a non-judgemental, compassionate space with empathy and care, bringing my full presence to you as a whole and unique individual finding your way through life. Oftentimes our sessions will involve reflecting on your past and current life circumstances, as well as possible dreams, body symptoms, aspirations or relationship issues. By bringing a greater awareness to these aspects of your life and sense of self, we work together to gently tease out the connections between these and the nature of your unfolding life process. In doing so, I embrace you as a whole person and see these challenges as meaningful opportunities for transformation and growth.
Couples Counselling Sessions
I also work with couples who are wanting to deal with some of the issues that being in a relationship raises. Every relationship brings challenges. Accepting this, and facing the truth of these challenges, allows the relationship to deepen and grow. It also allows the individual to blossom, enriching their life and the lives of those around them. I work with couples by honouring the truth and integrity of each person, by creating a safe and nurturing space for each individual to express their own truth, and seeking ways to develop understanding, compassion and awareness.
Specialised Sessions for People Living with Disability
Drawing on my personal and academic experience with people living with a disability, and in particular people living with an intellectual disability, I bring to these specialised sessions a deep and empathetic understanding of what it is to live in the world as a person with a disability. I work with both the individual person, as well as their family and/or support workers, seeking ways to navigate the challenges that living with a disability brings. These sessions may be covered under an individual’s NDIS plan.
Yoga, Breath & Body Work
As a practitioner and former yoga teacher with over 40 years experience, I bring to some of my sessions particular body and breathing techniques that have proven to be deeply effective for people dealing with depression, anxiety and trauma. I also have my own regular daily yoga and meditation practice that informs and supports the way in which I too deal with and process life’s challenges.

Who Seeks Psychotherapy and Why?
At some stage in our lives we all face challenges. Having someone to confide in, share our journey, and walk alongside us as we navigate our way along lifes complex path, can bring solace, comfort and clarity.
Some of the questions we may ask ourselves are:
Why is this happening to me?
What has brought me to this place in life?
How can I find my way through this challenge?
Why does my life feel so difficult, complex, unfulfilled or somehow lacking?
Why do I feel disconnected from others and from life around me?
Why am I anxious, depressed, angry, afraid?
Why do I keep having conflict with people?
How can I reconnect to deeper aspects of myself?
How can I connect to others and the world around me?
How can I find healing and meaningful life direction?
If these questions resonate with you, psychotherapy may be your answer. Through compassionate connection, deep reflection and experienced guidance, it can help you to find yourself back to a place of wholeness, fulfilment and well-being.
Cost of Sessions
All sessions are a full 60 minutes. An extra 15-20 minutes is also spent preparing for and summarising each session. This is included in the consultation price.

Rebates
Some private health insurance policies offer rebates for psychotherapy.
Psychotherapy and counselling are not currently covered by Medicare rebates. However, I keep my fees as low as possible and they are often comparable to the gap paid on rebates from sessions with clinical psychologists.
Cancellations
24 hours notice of cancellation must be given otherwise the full fee for the consultation may be charged.
