What is Holistic Psychotherapy
All of us are challenged in myriad ways as we journey through life. Some may face illness or disability within themselves or their loved ones. Others may have to deal with childhood trauma, abuse or neglect. We may have to grapple with the effects of depression, anxiety or addiction in our daily lives. Conflict, stress and relationship issues invariably impact upon our wellbeing. At some stage we all have to deal with grief and death.
A holistic perspective aims to approach all of these potential life issues as meaningful opportunities for transformation, growth and healing.
It focuses on the person in their entirety, with an awareness of the inter-relationship between all these aspects of our lives, and how they are expressed and experienced within the self.
Rather than diagnosing and prescribing, holistic psychotherapy supports the individual to find their own meaning and understanding, drawing on their unique inner wisdom to guide the process. Rather than treating just the symptoms, a holistic approach explores the deeper underlying causes and helps to facilitate a sense of wholeness and well-being.

What to expect from your sessions
My client-focussed approach involves following the needs and requirements of the client. While most sessions involve one to one personal interaction, others may include some breathing, relaxation or movement techniques that can help to address the issues raised.
All sessions are a full sixty minutes in length. Clients may chose to have regular weekly, fortnightly or monthly sessions. These may continue for anything upwards of four sessions. I find it usually requires at least this number of sessions to allow us to work more deeply and to gain lasting benefits. However, it is entirely up to the individual how many times they wish to see me.
Where am I located
I currently work online with clients, either over Zoom, FaceTime or the phone. I will work with whatever method works best for you.
All sessions are entirely confidential and respectful. They aim to support clients to gain affirming, positive and meaningful results that support their life and well-being.
